The heart of Str8 Street Ministries is ultimately to help addicts overcome addiction permanently. The results that the standard model of the treatment industry are producing are very underwhelming to say the least. On average, only fifteen percent of the twelve million people who undergo treatment will not relapse within the first year.
We know we can do much better if only we will allow Jesus to become the focus of the recovery process. Addiction is a spiritual issue that cannot be solved by a modern, worldly approach. There is a more excellent way, a way that will produce a much higher success rate. I was given specific insight and revelation through my personal relationship with Jesus and verses that the Holy Spirit showed me in scripture. I only want to help others gain the same victory I was given by the grace of God.
My intention was never to have a website, a social media presence, or a public platform. I only wanted to write some books that sold well enough to start my ministry. It doesn’t work that way in the modern publishing world. So, here I am resorting to plan b. To achieve my ultimate goal, I will have to get out of my comfort zone. I will have to make myself vulnerable. I will have to engage with the public. if that’s the price to achieve my purpose that God created me to do, then so be it.
My first book is titled Exposing the Wiles of the Devil. My second book is called Checkmate?: There’s Always One More Move With Jesus. This website will be dedicated to taking excerpts from both books to garner enough interest to get my books published. I will also add in some material from the 125 sermons that I preached while in federal prison and when I filled in for my pastor at our church. I also have a working outline for my third book called Simplifying Spiritual Warfare that I may share if the Lord puts it on my heart.
